Difference between Disney+ subscriptions
In addition to the price (13.99 euros per month compared to 9.99 euros per month), the difference between Premium and the regular subscription is that the video and audio quality is better: 4K UHD and HDR, plus maximum Dolby Atmos audio. With a Premium subscription you can also watch on more devices at the same time: 4 instead of 2. At the same time, this is becoming less attractive now that Disney+ is actively fighting against account sharing. For example, we were recently asked on our account to register our ‘primary’ streaming device.
In terms of subscription costs, it is still relatively affordable to take Standard: you normally pay 9.99 euros per month for it, but annually that is 99.90 euros, which is a monthly price of 8.32 euros per month. Then the difference with 5.99 euros for the advertising subscription is quite small. The advertising subscription does not have a cheaper annual subscription. Premium is: that is 139.90 euros per year and therefore 11.65 euros per month.
On Disney+ you can watch content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Star, FX, ABC, Disney Television Studios, Searchlight Pictures and 20th Century Television. Plenty of choice, in addition to the Disney classics. However, you now have to ask yourself whether you want to be served advertising or not.
